Pd/Cu-catalyzed coupling of cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl iodide and methyl propiolate in synthesis of Cp(CO)2Fe-C≡C-COOMe

Abstract


The conditions of successful iron-carbon coupling in the reaction between cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl iodide and methyl propiolate upon the Pd/Cu catalysis were determined. A new high-yield synthetic approach to the methoxycarbonylethynyl iron complex Cp(CO)2Fe-C≡C-COOMe were developed.
