Abstract
Sustainable socio-cultural development of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - the indigenous peoples) in the conditions of global transformation depends not only on domestic resource mobilization of the peoples themselves, but also from any mechanism of interaction between government and business with these people. In this regard, the article attempted to consider the foreign and, primarily, the Russian experience in implementation of various interaction mechanisms aimed at preserving native habitat, traditional lifestyles and cultural values of indigenous peoples. The article notes that, despite the existence of examples of mutually beneficial cooperation between business entities and indigenous peoples, we can conclude that existing in the Russian practice examples, as opposed to foreign, are not system and are proactive (primarily because of the lack of clear regulatory mechanisms at the federal and regional levels, to implement this binding interaction of each business entity).
