In the article key problems in the study of repressions against the clerisy of East Siberian national regions are distinguished and their analysis in modern historiography is presented. An author makes a conclusion that modern regional researches of repressive politics of the Soviet Union are based on theoretical approaches worked out by Siberian scholars S. A. Papkov and S. A. Krasilnikov.
