Explores the historical experience of creation of Bratsko-Ust-Ilimskiy TPK as one of the forms of territorial organization of the national economy, characteristic of a planned economy. Economic advantages of TPK are noted at development of new territories, feature of their functioning in the conditions of the market relations.
