Τhe models of Christian holidays as an flesh-constructing topos of Rasputin's prose
Abstract
This article deals with the models of Christian holidays as an important plot-constructing topos of Rasputin's prose. The method of the analysis is hermeneutic. The Christian orientation of the author's prose is realized in his oeuvre by the signs. symbols and the logical system of the plot, which is associated with the Orthodox worldbuilding.The motif of death, leading to the creation of writer, developed in accordance with the logic of the Christian feast: Candlemas, Assumption, Transfiguring, Resurrection and Ascension. The models are significantly transformed, Christianity is realized at the level of intentions in the dialogue with the pagan, indicating that the worldview of the writer's dualism. It is important to understand the convention of incarnationof festive models, since the text is not built upon the canon. However the idea of death, formed of Orthodox culture, including through the holidays (one of the first actions aimed at the destruction of paganism was replacing of Christian holidays) are reflected in the V. Rasputin's prose. Summing up, we could say, that the choosing of festive models and rites, associated with it, is a sign of replacing emphasizes in the author's worldview.
