Nataliya V. Kovtun, U. A. Skripnikova
Abstract
The article gives a description of transhistorical communication between the author and the reader. The main difficulty of researching comprehension seems to be that there is no consistent approach to manage the issue as comprehension of the author and their texts can be considered from various perspectives. The outcome of the research is that communicative acts are often disrupted by the author due to external (i.e. political background) or internal causes. To overcome miscomprehension, it is essential to take both the author’s creation and biography facts into consideration as integrally they give the overview needed to decode the message addressed to the reader. The data for study was the collection of short stories by Daniil Charms. The analysis of the thirty stories resulted in the classification of storylines consisting of five groups.
