Modern Russian writers in the book market in Germany

Abstract


The purpose of this article is to review trends concerning the presence of contemporary Russian writers on the book market in Germany. The interest of the German leader to Russian literature dates back to the XIX century. However, over the years the list of books has significantly changed. In addition to the classics appeared interest in the work of immigrants, disidents and to writers banned in the Soviet Union. At the present time Russian classics  is still being published. In addition, readers of Germany are very interested in writers who are successful in Russia, as well as the authors constantly living abroad, including  German-speaking countries.
