Abstract

Abstract: The relevance of the study on Tuvan dance culture is due to the need to study the specificity of the correlation between traditional and modern dance using new methodological approaches. The purpose of the article is to study the mechanisms of transmitting the archetypal symbols to modern Tuvan stage dance. To achieve the goal, the following tasks are being solved: consider the connection between the archetype and the totem; reveal the specifics of transmitting the archetypal symbols inside the structure of modern Tuvan choreography.

The study makes it possible to draw a conclusion about the morphological stability of the ancient ideas of Tuvans, preserved in the sacral kinetics of dance, reflecting the multidimensionality of the world, and a stable connection with the traditional ideas about ancestral spirits and gods. The specificity of Tuvan worldview expressed through dance culture allows us to keep the living thread of the tradition uninterrupted.

Key words: Tuvan dance, Tuvan culture, images, sacral geometry, archetype, modern stage dance, the totem.
