Dmitriy Vladimirovich Kim, Vera Sergeevna Gorshkova

Abstract

In the modern world, criminology is actively developing, it is produced a large number of research in this area, the results of which are further introduced into the fight against crime. Effective detection and investigation of crimes is possible with the use of modern scientific and technical means and methods, in particular the results of the application of special knowledge, improving the level of training of law officers (investigators, interrogating officers, operational law officers, law officers of expert institutions and organizations, judges), as well as the introduction of modern provisions of the theory of forensic science and criminology in practice. One of the relatively new directions in this activity is the implementation of the concept of situational approach in law enforcement – not only during the preliminary investigation, but also in the trial of criminal cases. The use of special knowledge in criminal proceedings, especially the interrogation of an expert in court, becomes more and more important.
