New APPROACHES FOR the development of additional professional competences for the purposes of new economy

Abstract


 

The transformation of business models by market participants and their aspiration for building ecosystems, digital penetration into all spheres of life, growth of information flows and high mobility of human capital change in the global context the competencies that should be formed by today's university graduates.

 

Current trends, connected with economic changes and digitalization require continuous upskilling of future professionals and extension of list of competences beyond curriculum. The international summer school (ISS) is an effective tool

for short-term training, which combines the possibilities to obtain professional knowledge and managerial, communication, intercultural skills.The purpose of the conducted study is to identify and review the main factors affecting the transformation of the role of international summer schools in the modern economic education.

Based on the review of universities` learning offerings, the article identifies learner’s need to obtain additional competencies through participation in international summer schools.

Environmental changes related to the development of new digital economy

 

and affecting  changes in technologies  and  learning processes at international summer schools in general, were analyzed on the basis of the model for analyzing global trends and changes in paradigms and reskilling patterns.
