Abstract

N²-[1-(1-adamantyl)ethyl]naphthalene-1,2-diamine was prepared by reduction of N-(1-(1-adamantyl)ethyl)-1-nitrosonaphthalenе-2-amine with hydrazinehydrate and Pd on charcoal (0.5 %) in dichloromethane. 4-Chloro-N-(2-[1-(1-adamantyl)ethyl]amino)naphthalene-1-yl)benzamide and N-(2-[1-(1-adamantyl)ethyl]amino)naphthalene-1-yl)benzamide was obtained by reaction of an acid chloride with N²-[1-(1-adamantyl)ethyl]-naphthalene-1,2-diamine. All products were characterized by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, APT, COSY, HSQC measurements.
