Alkylation of phenol derivatives with adamantan-1-ol

Abstract
Reaction of substituted phenols with 1-adamantanol in the presence of 1-bromoadamantane as well as the reaction of halogenophenols with 1-adamantanol in trifluoroacetic acid leads to products of mono-and dialkylation.
