New Gasoline Components of High Octane Number Made of Plant Raw Materials

Abstract
The possibility of the acid-catalyzed furfuryl alcohol alkylation with butanol is demonstrated. Preparative quantity of butyl furfuryl ether and propyl furfuryl ether are obtained and their research octane numbers are measured (97,4 ± 3,2 и 112,9 ± 3,5, correspondingly).
