HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS OF ZEOLITE WITH STRUCTURE OF W

Abstract


One of the most important objectives of the study crystallization processes of zeolites is the creation of materials with predetermined structure and composition. On the basis of natural minerals of Nakhchivan was obtained of zeolite of potassium-containing of W. The synthesis was conduct in hydrothermal condition. The optimal condition for obtaining a zeolite of type W is a temperature of 150°C, the concentration of a thermal solution of KOH 1 N, autoclave filling of 80%, a treatment time of 3 days. The initial sample and resulting zeolite was investigated by X-ray diffraction, derivatografic, IR-spectroscopic, element methods of analysis. According to the X-ray analysis, the zeolite W crystallizes in a cubic system with the parameter a=20.1 Å and the empirical formula of the obtained K-W zeolite is established: K10,32Al10,3Si21,7O64·24,32H2O. Investigated exchange cation, dehydration- rehydration properties were obtained of the zeolite. It was found, that the obtained zeolite was completely rehydrated within 15 hours and was easily subjected to cation exchange.
