The article presents motif analysis in prose of L. Leonov, for exception final novel "Pyramid". Author's manner was changing during XX centure, tending to different styles - avant-garde, socialist realism, postrealism. Motif of gift was considered by Leonov from different points of view, and we had attempt to investigate poetics of all author's variations, focusing religious essense of motif.
