The Traditionalist School Through The Prism Of The Neosentimentalist Discourse (on the example of V. Gurkin`s dramatic art)

Abstract


The author analyzes the specificity of functioning of the Traditionalist school trends in Russian literature of the second half of the XX century in context of the Neosentimentalist discourse. Its versatility and functional multiplicity it provides its widespread penetration of the literary process of our time, and interfacing with a variety of literary phenomena: the postmodernism, the feminine prose, the literature of “new biographism”, the “new new drama”, etc. Activating the Neosentimentalist discourse becomes a way of overcoming the crisis results of postmodern intellectual paradigm and performs primarily the function of rehabilitation revives a set of constants, including the ethical, human existence. Axiologycal potential of the Neosentimentalist discourse implements through categories of the corporeity, acquiring positive semantic connotations. The interaction of the Neosentimentalist with the literature of the Traditionalist school demonstrates a state of its crisis and its desire to diversify the forms and methods of artistic expression.
