Daily children feeding practices in a modern Russian family

Abstract


The present article deals with the problem of products intake limitation in families with children. The work emphasizes, that the population nutrition problem has an important social significance and refers to the global categories, which play an important role in ensuring the quality and length of human life and health. Therefore, the given problem is studied not only in the medical science limits, but may also be presented in the social and economic aspect. Practice shows, that the state of child nutrition in families with a low income doesn’t match the ratified in the modern society medical and biological standards. A common family often gets into the category of such households, where a child is born, that is with the birth of children, especially if there are several children, the family life level rapidly decreases. The work gives the analysis of the alimentary and energy value of nutrition in all the studied family types. It is emphasized, that the nutritive value of food-stuff in households with one or two children is much higher, than in large ones. Food ration within its nutrients in families with children doesn’t correspond to the living wage. There is a strong tendency of increasing the part of budget expenses of large families on food and reduce of health maintenance and educational expenses. Moreover, the increase of the amount of children redoubles the tendency. So, nutrition quality is higher in families with one child, than in large households.
